Aims and scope
Mission Statement
Educational Research & Implementation (EduRE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarship across the field of education. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review. The journal aims to advance educational knowledge and inform practice, policy, and innovation through methodologically rigorous, theoretically meaningful, and evidence-based research.
Scope of the Journal
EduRE welcomes original contributions addressing contemporary issues in education through quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, theoretical, and review-based approaches. The journal supports research that contributes to understanding learning, teaching, educational systems, and innovation in diverse contexts. Particular areas of interest include:
- Learning, Instruction, and Curriculum Design: Pedagogical strategies, learning processes, curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Teaching and Teacher Education: Pre-service teacher education, in-service professional development, teacher identity, expertise, and pedagogical content knowledge.
- Technology-Enhanced Learning and Interactive Environments: Design and pedagogical use of digital technologies, multimedia learning environments, online and blended learning, and interactive educational settings.
- Human–AI Collaboration in Education: AI-supported learning, adaptive systems, AI in language learning, human–AI interaction, and ethical and responsible uses of AI in educational contexts.
- Educational Assessment and Evaluation: Formative and summative assessment, measurement, psychometrics, data-informed decision-making, and technology- or AI-assisted assessment practices.
- Educational Development and Policy: Educational leadership, school improvement, administration, policy, and systemic initiatives affecting teaching and learning ecosystems.
- Research Methods in Education: Methodological innovation, design, validation, and applications of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research in education.
Types of Contributions
EduRE publishes the following types of scholarly contributions:
- Original Research Articles: Empirical studies based on quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods designs.
- Theoretical and Methodological Papers: Manuscripts that develop conceptual frameworks, critically examine key issues, or advance educational research methods.
- Review Articles: Rigorous evidence syntheses, including systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and meta-syntheses.
Publication Model
EduRE is published biannually in April and October. All manuscripts must be submitted in English. The journal is fully open access and does not charge any submission fees or article processing charges (APCs).
Target Audience
EduRE serves an international readership that includes researchers, teacher educators, curriculum developers, school leaders, policymakers, and educational technology specialists seeking research-informed insights into educational theory, practice, and innovation.
