Author Guidelines

Please follow the guidance below to prepare your manuscript for submission to Educational Research & Implementation (EduRE).

Before submission, please review the journal’s Guide for Authors, Ethics Policy, Plagiarism Policy, and other relevant editorial policies.

1. Editorial Screening (Initial Assessment)

All submissions are first screened by the editorial team to assess:

  • alignment with the journal’s Aims and Scope;
  • compliance with formatting, anonymization, and submission requirements;
  • basic scholarly quality, including clarity of purpose, appropriate methodology, and coherent reporting;
  • compliance with the journal’s ethical and editorial policies.

Manuscripts that do not meet these minimum requirements may be desk-rejected without external review. Submissions that pass screening proceed to double-blind peer review.

2. Manuscript Preparation

  • Use the journal’s official manuscript template where required.
  • Prepare and upload the required submission files in the requested format.
  • Ensure that the blinded manuscript contains no author-identifying information, including file metadata where possible.
  • Follow the journal’s formatting, structure, and reference requirements as described in the Guide for Authors.

3. Permissions and Third-Party Materials

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reuse any third-party material, including figures, photos, instruments, scales, tables, datasets, or substantial text, where legally required. Proof of permission should be provided during submission where applicable. Where permission is not required, authors should provide appropriate attribution and license information.

4. Authorship and Contributor Responsibilities

All listed authors must:

  • have made a substantial scholarly contribution to the work;
  • have approved the submitted version;
  • agree to be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the manuscript.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that the authorship list is accurate and final at submission.

5. Ethical Approval and Informed Consent (Where Applicable)

Research involving human participants or other regulated procedures must comply with applicable ethical and legal requirements. Where relevant, authors must confirm:

  • approval by an appropriate ethics committee or review board; and
  • that informed consent was obtained where required.

If ethics or consent details could reveal author identity during double-blind review, full details should appear on the Title Page and an appropriately blinded statement should appear in the manuscript file.

6. Data Availability and AI Disclosure

Where applicable, manuscripts should include a Data Availability Statement indicating whether supporting data are available and where they can be accessed. Any use of generative AI or AI-assisted tools beyond basic spelling or grammar support must be disclosed where required by journal policy.
